Drew Schwartz is a freelance journalist based in New York.
His work has appeared in The New York Times, VICE, and Self Magazine, among other publications. His recent feature for the Times on New York City’s “graphers”—who make a living by hounding celebrities for autographs and selling them to the highest bidder—appeared on the cover of Metropolitan, as well as in The Great Read. In 2023, a 6,000-word feature he wrote about tracking down the grittiest dive bar in Las Vegas was nominated for a Writers Guild Award. He attended Boston University on a full-tuition Posse Foundation scholarship and graduated summa cum laude, with a B.S. in journalism and a minor in English.
